Sunday Night Chit-Chat

I found this cute weekly meme called "Sunday Night Chit-Chat" over on the "My 1/2 Dozen Daily" blog, and thought it interesting. Since I love to learn personal things about other bloggers, I hope you'll participate too!

What are you…

Reading? "A Gay and Melancholy Sound" by Merle Miller. This is from the "Book Lust Rediscovery series" which is reprinting some of the best out of print novels published between 1960-2000. I'm reviewing this for Amazon.com. It's good, but not what I'd call great.

Watching? Totally hooked on "Parenthood" TV series. Have now watched three seasons (for free on Amazon Prime videos). Trying to catch up so I can watch it on Tuesday nights. What a GREAT show. I relate to it on so many levels.

Listening to? Lots of audio books while sewing -- "Explosive Eighteen" by Janet Evanovich (wonderful! so funny!) and "Jane Eyre".

Cooking/Baking? Nothing special this week - just normal dinners, no desserts or breads. Trying to switch us over to whole grain breads, so I need to find some good bread machine recipes for these.

Happy you accomplished this week? Yes! Worked a lot on Mr. B's Lego Quilt. No pattern and working out from five appliqued squares (Lego Ninjago characters). Borders are done and now I'm just trying to figure out how I want to fill in blank areas (or even IF I want to fill them in). Hopefully I'll be done in another week. Also I'm happy I kept up with housework and laundry, and I even spent some time sorting through boxes of "stuff" being stored in the garage. A full-car trip to Goodwill!

Looking forward to next week? Finishing up Lego quilt piecing, getting guest room cleaned and prepared for my son's upcoming visit. Have some crafts planned to do with Mr. B. this week, including turning Christmas cookie tins into Halloween pumpkin decorations. Also want to get the vegetable garden cleaned up and prepared for Winter. Debating on planting spinach and salad while the weather is still warm enough.

Thankful for today? This beautiful Fall weather. Fall and Spring don't last long in southwestern Ohio, so it's important to enjoy it while we have it.

***BONUS QUESTION***
What is the grossest thing you've ever eaten?  Chocolate covered crickets. Thank God for the chocolate.

Leave me a comment here if you post this meme on your blog so I can come snoop read it, but also head over to My 1/2 Dozen Daily and leave a link to your post.
