Simple Woman's Daybook - 10/24/10

FOR TODAY
Outside my window... yellow, orange and green leaves of Fall, and a brisk wind blowing them off the trees.
I am thinking... that it's time to do some redecorating!
I am thankful for... my husband emptying the clean dishes out of the dishwasher for me - without my asking him!
From the kitchen... Just finished making 3 batches of turkey stock and 3 bags of turkey meat for the freezer. Defrosted two steaks and have a salad ready for dinner.
I am wearing... Black denim jeans, rust colored t-shirt and slippers.
I am creating... new ideas for the return of my Quilting on a Budget blog in two weeks.
I am going... nowhere today. I'm going to sit and do my menu planning for the week, then work on my Cathedral Window quilt for awhile.
I am reading... 29 Gifts in 29 Days by Cami Walker.
I am hoping... the rest of my day is as calm as the first half.
I am hearing... windchimes in the wind, a crow, and a NASCAR race on TV.
Around the house... laundry is done, clean sheets and my newly finished quilt on the bed.
One of my favorite things... Sitting on the back deck, planning a new quilt design for my next project.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Work on the blog, finalize plans for a new quilt, my usual three days of babysitting, cleaning out the refrigerator's freezer, finding paint for the downstairs guest bathroom and probably start painting.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Recently completed quilt.

I liked that blog. You have a loving, rewarding, organized, resourceful, fun home life. Jeff is a lucky man to have such a respectable wife! And I know you appreciate him too. And I am lucky to have such a wonderful sister!
Oh and the quilt is beautiful! I have not dug out my sewing machine yet but I will soon.
Love you.

I like your list. I may copy it and post it on my own blog if that is OK. If I tried to answer all the questions tonight everything would be related to getting ready to go to sleep--a little boring.
I love your quilt--nice job--love the combination of colors.
