Christmas wishes

I can't let the holidays pass by without wishing all my Internet friends and blog readers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This year Christmas is going to be relatively quiet in our house. Mary and Mr. B won't be joining us until the afternoon of Christmas day for dinner and present exchange. Jeff and I have not spent a Christmas Eve and Christmas morning alone since 1978, and if I remember correctly, Jeff had the flu and we had very little Christmas that year! I'll be curious to see if my husband still wakes me up at 5am to open stockings, as he has every year that there has been kids in the house!
My shoulder is getting slightly better and it looks like I may not have to have surgery. As I sit here and type I can tell it's still not time to get back on the computer, however. Something about the angle of my arm resting on the keyboard just doesn't agree with the torn muscle in my shoulder. I will do whatever I need to do to avoid surgery, so I may not be back to blogging for several weeks still.
For all you long distance grandma's out there, I do have one thing to share with you. Get a web cam!!! My son and his wife received a web cam as a gift, and I have one built in on my lap top, so we are planning on spending a portion of Christmas together via Skype. Being able to talk to and see my son on Christmas day will be a wonderful gift! And it occurred to me, that if and when they have children, a web cam is going to be a wonderful way to keep in touch with new grandchildren that live far away. I know Mr. B is going to be very happy to get a chance to talk and interact with his favorite Uncle Jeff and Aunt Lisa!
Though I have tons more to write about, this is all my shoulder can take so I'll end it here. Again, the very happiest of holidays to you and yours. I hope all your Christmas wishes come true.

Hope you have a most active and fun Christmas. I'm in California this week and it's quite cold here so I'm enjoying it.

Merry Christmas!
