My Simple Woman's Daybook - 11/18/10
FOR TODAY
Outside my window... the sun is just thinking about coming up, there's white frost on the grass.
I am thinking... of making today "No Computer Thursday" (after I finish this, of course!)
I am thankful for... two healthy adult children, a healthy grandson, a healthy husband, and, of course, my own good health.
From the kitchen... Need to finish this and go pack Jeff's lunch and make his breakfast.
I am wearing... khaki slacks, long-sleeved navy top with navy sweater, shoes and slippers.
I am creating... starting on Christmas placemats and towels today. An extra set for a giveaway? Depends how they come out!
I am going... to pick up Mr. B. at his other babysitter's to bring him to preschool, then back to preschool to pick him up and bring him here. Other than that, staying home today. I did my errands yesterday.
I am reading... Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
I am hoping... to stay off my computer and get in my sewing room today. Am I addicted to this computer? It's a possibility, I think.
I am hearing... the sound of Jeff in the shower, the heat running - that's it right now.
Around the house... other than my bed still needing to be made, the house is nicely picked up and today's housework is minimal.
One of my favorite things... Having my daughter and grandson over for dinner, as we did last night. We simply had kilbasi and red beans and rice, with garden green beans, but Mr. Fussy Eater tried everything!
A few plans for the rest of the week: Sewing, babysitting, having Mr. B overnight on Saturday.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing....
This is the floor plan of my sewing room. (Not sure what the rectangle is on the far left, so just ignore that. Just like a kitchen, the sewing room should be set in a triangle -- sewing machine, ironing/pressing station, cutting table/work surface. I love my sewing room -- just wish it was a bit neater!

I love this post. I need to list out things like this. It helps you keep things in perspective. I know what you mean about the computer. It seems like I spend more time on here looking at all the things I could be making and wishing I was sewing then actually getting off and SEWING. LOL!! Have a good day.
