My Simple Woman's DayBook - 10/28/10
FOR TODAY
Outside my window... birds waking up to the new day, Joey the Killer Cat meowing on the wrong side of the door.
I am thinking... that today needs to be a sewing/creative day.
I am thankful for... Asking to change my babysitting schedule to two days a week instead of three. I was getting burned out on babysitting!
From the kitchen... Just finished freezing a batch of sausage patties I pre-cooked, so I can grab them to make a fast breakfast roll-up for Jeff on babysitting mornings.
I am wearing... It's 7AM - still in my bathrobe and slippers!
I am creating... Ready for a new quilt. No pattern, just a design in my head.
I am going... to pick my grandson up from school at 3:15, bring him home for dinner, then he's off with Jeff to Father/Son Pumpkin Carving at his school.
I am reading... Freedom: A Novel by Jonathan Franzen - wonderful!
I am hoping... to have some energy this morning to get through my housework quickly, then move on to the quilt room.
I am hearing... the shower running as Jeff gets ready for work.
Around the house... Dishes need to be put away and the bed needs to be made. Other than that, no major housework is screaming at me today!
One of my favorite things... Watching 4 yr old Mr. B's imagination grow. When he was here earlier this week he had a mini laptop computer, a deck of cards, a Lego man, and was wearing a Batman cape, walking around very business-like and serious. Not sure what he was pretending, but it was fun to watch!
A few plans for the rest of the week... Babysitting Friday, Family Zoo Day on Saturday, moving our booth at Antique Mall on Sunday.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
