What can you buy for $2.15?? A lot!!!!
I just got back from CVS, and I'm a happy (frugal) camper today. I have asthma, and needed to buy a new Primatene Mist inhaler, which normally costs me $18.99 plus tax. I purchased everything you see in the picture above PLUS my inhaler for just about the cost of my inhaler. Here's how it went.
1st Trip:
1 Gillette Body Wash ($4.99) Sale $3.99
1 Olay Body Wash ($6.99) Sale $5.99
1 Olay Daily Face Wash ($7.99) $5.99
1 Olay Face Wash Cloths ($7.99) $5.99
Total Merchandise Value: $27.96
Sale Price: $21.96
Coupons: $1.00 off Gillette
$1.50 off Olay Body Wash
$3.00 x 2 off Face Wash = $6.00
Total Coupons: $8.50
CVS new customer card coupon $4.00
ECB's $7.00
Out of Pocket $3.15
ECB's Rec'd: $12.00 - $8.85 profit
2nd Trip
2 Dawn Dish Soap ($1.69 ea) sale $1.00 ea = $2.00
2 Planter's Peanuts ($3.99 ea) sale $2.00 ea = $4.00
4 Nabisco Products ($16.36) sale $2.00 ea = $8.00
1 Tide 50 oz Laundry Soap ($7.99) sale $5.49
1 Inhaler $18.99
Total Value: $54.70
Sale Price: $38.48
Coupons:
Tide .35
Dawn Dish Soap 1.00 x 2 = $2.00
Inhaler $2.00
2 x Planters Peanuts $3.00 = $6.00
Coupons $10.35
CVS ECB's $12.00 (from first trip)
Out of pocket: $16.13
ECB's Rec'd $1.00
In effect, I got my $18.99 inhaler, less the $2.00 coupon -- and every thing else cost me $2.15 out of pocket (from first trip, less ECB of 2nd trip).
Yeah baby.
